Era Corporation Invited to Participate in ICAS Group as Industry Partner
Era Corp. has been invited to participate in the International Cooperation on Airport Surveillance (ICAS) as an industry partner.
Reston, VA - September 28, 2007 - Era Corporation has been invited to participate in the International Cooperation on Airport Surveillance (ICAS) as an industry partner. The ICAS group brings together airports, Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs) and Eurocontrol to support the implementation, integration and exploitation of airport surveillance systems, covering all phases of ground movement, with an emphasis on Advanced-Surface Guidance and Control Systems (A-SMGCS).
Members of ICAS come from all over Europe and Russia to share best practices in areas of technology deployment, procedures and infrastructure constraints. What makes ICAS even more beneficial is the inclusion of regulatory authorities, research and development (R&D) firms and various other leading organizations in the industry, allowing members to collaborate and further expand the collective knowledge base of airport surveillance.
"We are proud to participate with the members of ICAS as an industry member to demonstrate our commitment to excellence in surface surveillance," said Dave Ellison, President & CEO of Era. "Our numerous multilateration A-SMGCS deployments around the world represent partnerships with leading ANSPs and ICAS is another opportunity to work with industry leaders to advance safety and capacity."
With the launch of their new website, ICAS has provided a portal for members to manage and exchange information with access to the latest industry news.
