Terma has been awarded the delivery of the Surface Movement Radars (SMR) to the new airport in Beijing, China opening in 2019. The airport will join the long list of major international airports to operate the new generation solid state SCANTER 5502 Surface Movement Radar.
Terma has been awarded by AENA to upgrade the existing Terma Surface Movement Radar (SMR) at Madrid Barajas Airport. This means that Madrid Barajas will join the long list of airports to operate the new generation solid state SCANTER 5502 Surface Movement Radar. The delivery will be effectuated together with local partner SEAIRTECH.

Terma has been contracted to deliver the newly developed Anti-Icing Antenna to Sofia Airport, Bulgaria to upgrade the Terma supplied SCANTER Surface Movement Radar (SMR).
System to enhance situational awareness and improve safety of movement and non-movement areas
At the annual ATC Global 2015 Exhibition in Dubai World Trade Centre, U.A.E, October 5-7, 2015 Terma displays the Embedded Tracker for Surface Movement Radar (SMR) and the 2-in-1 Aerodrome Traffic Awareness solution featuring the SCANTER SMR tracking surface and air targets at the same time.
The solution combines Indra’s experience in delivering GBAS products into service and NATS’ operational capability. The new sytem will prove valuable to any capacity-constrained airport, providing a wide range of approach routes supported by a single system.
