LundHalsey is proud to announce that it has joined ICAS. A UK-based specialist in control room consoles and technical furniture for mission-critical aviation environments, LundHalsey works with airports, ANSPs, aviation authorities and system integrators across the globe, supporting ATC and ATM environments from initial design through to long-term lifecycle support.
Joining ICAS reflects LundHalsey’s commitment to the ATC and ATM sector and its ambition to be a recognised specialist partner within it. Where LundHalsey adds value is in understanding precisely how a controller’s working environment needs to be designed — the ergonomics of the space, how the physical working position supports the operator, and how everything integrates with the technology around it. It is a specialism that sits at the intersection of every ATC and ATM project, and one that LundHalsey believes the ICAS community will recognise the value of.
No two ATC environments are the same, and LundHalsey’s starting point on every project is understanding how the space needs to work for both the people in it and the systems they depend on. That means engaging directly with ATCOs early in the process, understanding their workflows, the pressures of their operational environment and what the workspace needs to do to support them effectively — with human factors, ergonomics and ISO 11064 principles driving every decision from that point through to final delivery.
That approach is demonstrated across a diverse range of projects across the UK, Europe, the Middle East and beyond, spanning en-route, approach, tower, radar and simulation environments, and delivered in close partnership with some of the leading system integrators operating in the sector today.
