Sensis A-SMGCS Deployed Around the World

Sensis Advanced Surface Movement Guidance and Control System (A-SMGCS) is a proven solution, with existing systems revealing significant improvements in safety, capacity and cost savings.

Designed from the start to meet A-SMGCS Level 2 and above functionality, the system fuses multiple surveillance sources for the highest quality data and coverage even in the most complex airport environments.

The Sensis A-SMGCS uses multiple surveillance sources such as PSR, SSR, SMR, a transponder multilateration system, an ADSÐB or (GNSS) vehicle tracking system and an advanced multi-sensor fusion processor to provide a comprehensive surveillance picture of the airport surface. Sensis A-SMGCS enables safety, efficiency and capacity improvements on the airport surface and throughout the air traffic system. This is coupled to advanced conflict detection and alerting logic that provides highly reliable warnings of impending problems to controllers.

Sensis A-SMGCS is being deployed at Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi India; Hong Kong International Airport; Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney Airports in Australia; and at 35 airports across the U.S. Further, Sensis´ multilateration, a key component of its next-generation A-SMGCS, is the most field-proven in the industry, with 13 of the busiest airports in Europe, Asia and Australia relying on the technology for surface and en route surveillance.
